Veda Kaplan

FOUNDER & CO-CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Veda Kaplan has spent a lifetime bringing people together: around a table, around a cause or just holding space. After raising her family in Malibu she and her husband planted new roots in Utah, trading the Pacific coast for the quiet rhythm of the Provo River with the unhurried beauty of mountain life.

Ever the entrepreneur and creator, she has built a life as layered as the landscape. From television production, a cannabis farm,  electric bike shops, a Vail Resort family member, the NAC and too many other nonprofit involvements to count, each chapter is a testament to her range and her relentless drive. Threaded through all of it  is something quieter and more enduring: a profound love for Utah itself. For the way the mountains hold the light at dusk, for the cold clarity of the river at her doorstep, for the unhurried sense that life here still has room to breathe. Her love for its people is equally fierce, the artists, the adventurers, the builders: the ones who chose this place on purpose, just as she did. She came for a change of scenery and found something far deeper, a place that shaped her, steadied her and ultimately inspired her greatest endeavor yet.

"When a 2024 health scare invited her to reconsider everything, Veda answered with intention. Drawn to an outdoor music festival during her recovery, something shifted and she found the convergence of live music and open sky working quietly, profoundly, on body and spirit. That experience became a calling.

Park City Music Festival, a gathering rooted in the belief that nature and music, woven together, can restore what modern life quietly erodes.

"She deeply believes in the working magic of harmony in nature — and its power to heal.”

Veda has always understood that community is something you build on purpose. She is a natural connector, a relentless doer, managing to get it all accomplished. When she is not multitasking her way through life, you will find her on a river or a mountain, hosting family and friends, or most likely, in the kitchen, spreading love.

Park City Music Festival is her invitation to you: come outside, let the mountains hold you, and the music will do the rest.
